Why Product Demo Prompts Need Structure
A plain description gives the AI model almost nothing to work with. A structured prompt tells it exactly what kind of shot to produce.
Product clarity
Describe the material, color, shape, and key visual features of the product. The AI cannot infer what it looks like from a category name alone.
Camera movement
A slow orbit shows all angles; a dolly-in creates a reveal; a static wide shows environmental context. Name the move — don't leave it to chance.
Lighting setup
Studio rim lighting reads as commercial. Natural window light reads as editorial. Backlight creates atmosphere. Lighting is the single strongest style signal in a product prompt.
Texture & material
Describe the surface your product sits on — marble, obsidian, velvet, concrete. Material context shapes the entire visual character of the output.
Visual style
State the commercial context: "luxury fragrance advertising", "tech product advertisement", "lifestyle skincare editorial". Style anchors the aesthetic direction.
Background
A pure black background creates drama; white creates clean commercial clarity; blurred environmental backgrounds suggest lifestyle and context.
Duration
State 5s or 8s explicitly. Short clips suit social ads; 8s gives room for full camera movement arcs or multi-angle reveals.
Aspect ratio
16:9 for landscape video; 9:16 for vertical social. State it at the end of your prompt every time — omitting it leads to inconsistent output.
